Return and Maintenance Policies



While it is Beacon Services & Appliances’ purpose “to help people purchase and fully enjoy their appliances to their full extent”, we also recognize that some products, for a multitude of reasons, return to our warehouse.

Any products that were purchased new and have been used even once no longer may be resold as a new product and are considered used. In many cases, being installed and used, then returned will void the manufacturer’s warranty for a future owner of the product. For this reason, Beacon cannot accept returns due to buyer’s remorse, product failure, or other reasons. The liability for warranty lies solely with the manufacturer.

Product returns must be made within 15 days of the date you receive your order. There may not be any marks, scuffs, stains, dents, or scratches.

Previously installed, used, special orders, or special modifications cannot be returned under any circumstance. All accessories, clean instruction books and warranty cards must be returned. Product that does not meet the criteria above or has been used, may, at Beacon’s discretion, not be accepted as a return, or may be subject to additional return and shipping/delivery fees and in some cases significant re-stocking charges may apply to a re-stocking fee in an amount representative of the condition of the product or its packaging. Beacon reserves the right to decline to an exchange or accept the return of ANY product after the 15 day period.

​ Refunds for products being returned will be issued once the product is received back and meet Beacon’s product return criteria listed above.

​There is an expense to this return process and the last thing we want is for a customer to have a bad experience. If through no fault of Beacon a product is returned, we will charge a 30% restock (of sales price) fee. Delivery and installation fees are non-refundable.

​There is a $75 removal fee to pick up any appliance(s), regardless of if they were delivered by Beacon or customer pick up products. There are additional labor fees if any appliances require un-installation.


​We do not accept returns of used appliances. All sales are final. All used appliances do come with a 90 day parts and labor warranty. If warranty service is required, depending on the issue, Beacon reserves the right to replace the appliance with another of equal value.


​New parts purchased are under their manufacturer’s warranties of 30, 60, 90, or 365 day, depending on the manufacturer and type of part. Please ask a Beacon representative about the part you are purchasing for specific warranty information.


​Beacon Services does not offer warranties on any parts that were not installed by Beacon Services, also we do not accept any returns on any parts for repair that were not originally diagnosed by our technicians. Payment is due at the time the part is ordered. It is Beacon Policy not to install any parts that we did not diagnose.


All used parts are cleaned and refurbished by Beacon Appliances. All parts are tested and guaranteed. Beacon wants you to be happy with your purchase and will make every effort to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase from point of sale, to delivery of the part ordered. The buyer is responsible for making sure this is the part they needed. Beacon is not part of the diagnosis process and cannot be liable for the purchase of an incorrect part, or if additional parts are needed beyond the purchase of our part. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs involved in any return/replacement situation.


Beacon Services & Appliances reserves the right to refuse to remove or haul away any appliance at any time. Reasons include but are not limited to unsafe conditions, or the condition of the appliance. Appliances with insects or mold infestations will be refused. Beacon Services & Appliances offers free delivery and haul away services for most top load washing machines, top load dryers, and ranges, however we reserve the right to charge for removal and haul away of any appliance. Appliances that require more than one technician to remove may also have an added fee.


 Effective July 1st, 2018 

Beacon Services & Appliances / Beacon Air & Heat Inc. only offers one Preventative Maintenance Agreement Option. This is for new customers as well as renewals of existing Maintenance Contracts. All renewals will renew under the new maintenance agreement effective July 1st, 2018. The old agreements are no longer available, and there will be no “grandfathering” of the previous agreements. We apologize for any inconvienance this may cause.  

Beacon’s Preventative Maintenance Agreement Includes:

  • Priority attention when you need it the most!
  • (2) Clean and Tune maintenance services

(At approximately 6 month intervals)

  • 20% Discount on all service calls and diagnostics
  • 20% Discount on all labor fees
  • 20% Discount on all parts and air conditioning related items such as filters or IAQ
  • 5% Discount on equipment replacement

This service agreement is for one full year from the initial date of contract. The two maintenances may occur at any time during the year, although we strive for 6 month intervals. PMA customers are notified at the end of the contract however renewals are the responsibility of the customer and contracts do not auto-renew. Filter maintenance is not included and should be performed by the homeowner as needed, as well as drain line maintenance in tandem with this maintenance contract. The contract covers one air conditioning system at a time. Discounts do not cross over to other services provided by Beacon such as duct cleaning, insulation, or appliance repair. Preventative Maintenance Agreements are currently only available for our Citrus County customers.
