
As another year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on what this past year has meant for Beacon Services & Appliances. More importantly, what it’s meant for the homeowners and families we serve across Citrus County.
This year wasn’t just about appliances or air conditioners. It was about showing up, solving problems, and continuing to build trust with our community.
A Year of Helping Homes Run Better
Throughout the year, Beacon’s team handled thousands of service calls, installations, and showroom visits. From emergency air conditioning repairs during Florida’s hottest days to helping families select dependable new appliances, our focus remained the same: provide honest guidance and reliable service every step of the way.
Our friendly technicians in the yellow were out in neighborhoods across Central Florida fixing what was broken, maintaining what was working, and helping homeowners make confident decisions.
Growing Our Appliance Showroom & Selection
This year also marked continued growth on the appliance side of Beacon. We expanded product offerings, added new models, and focused on brands we believe in — brands known for long-term reliability, performance, and real-world value.
From Speed Queen laundry to KitchenAid kitchens and dependable Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Maytag appliances, we worked hard to ensure customers could find products that fit both their homes and their budgets.
We brought in truckloads of Speed Queen at a time to make sure we had the inventory our customers needed, when they needed it.
We also spent more time helping customers understand why one product might be a better fit than another — not just selling what’s on the floor, but matching appliances to lifestyles.
Expanding Our HVAC Lineup With Whirlpool
This year also marked an important milestone for Beacon on the HVAC side of our business — the addition of Whirlpool HVAC systems to our lineup.
Whirlpool is a name many homeowners already trust inside their homes, and expanding into Whirlpool-branded heating and cooling systems allowed us to offer customers another reliable, well-supported option when it comes to comfort. These systems are designed with efficiency, durability, and straightforward serviceability in mind — values that align closely with how we operate.
Adding Whirlpool HVAC has given our team more flexibility to match the right system to each home, budget, and comfort need, whether that means replacing an aging air conditioner or helping a homeowner improve efficiency and reliability long-term.
As with everything we offer, Whirlpool HVAC systems are supported by local installation, service, and ongoing maintenance from Beacon — not a distant call center. It’s another way we’re continuing to grow responsibly while staying focused on dependable solutions and local support.
Education, Transparency, and Better Information
Another major focus this year was education. Through our website, blog, in home presentations, and in-store conversations, we aimed to give homeowners clearer, more useful information — without the confusion or pressure often found in big-box environments.
Our News & Reviews blog continued to grow, offering straightforward insights into appliance trends, new finishes, buying guides, and product comparisons. The goal has always been simple: help customers feel informed and confident before they buy.
Stronger Systems, Stronger Service
Behind the scenes, we invested in better processes, training, and systems to support our growing team and customer base. Improving scheduling, communication, and follow-up allowed us to respond faster and serve more efficiently — while still keeping service personal and local.
It is our first full year of having digital invoices and estimates. Having easy to read and understand invoices has always been a desire of ours and we continue to refine this for our customers.
We also continued refining our preventative maintenance programs, helping customers avoid breakdowns before they happen and extend the life of their equipment.

Spoiler Alert: A New Beacon Location Is on the Way
We’ll end this year-in-review with a bit of forward-looking news.
After a long and careful process, permits were officially approved to move forward with our new Beacon property and appliance showroom in Hernando. While there’s still plenty of work ahead, this approval marks a major milestone and clears the path for construction to begin.
This expansion is about more than adding square footage. It’s about improving access, expanding our showroom experience, and making it easier for homeowners in surrounding communities to explore appliances, ask questions, and get local support without having to travel as far.
As with everything we do, this next step is rooted in thoughtful growth — staying local, staying service-first, and continuing to invest in the communities we serve. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses.
